So today classes let out early and my friend and I skipped lunch so that we could go out to eat. My friend wanted McDonalds. None for me, thanks. I decided to go to subway, and since I am a vegetarian, I tried the veggie's delight for the first time. It was amazing, and it had only about 300 calories in a six-inch sub. I decided that since 5 dollars is way too much for lunch every day, to make my own. This is how you make it.
roll-whatever kind, the more wheat the better
shredded cheese
lettuce
pickles
yellow peppers
tomato
oil/vinegar sparingly
open the roll (duh) and sprinkle about 1/4 cup shredded cheese on one side. add as much of the about ingredients as you want, since they are all vegetables, there's no need to count calories or worry about fat content! maybe i'm just getting a little excited about this, but it tasted so good and it was so low-calorie.

Yummy! Sounds so good. Thank you for being a Veggie! We Rock!
1Sounds like a good recipes for meatless mondays!
2Mmm...sounds delicious!
3Just another great veggie option when doing the fast food thing...it's so hard to find vegetarian choices!
If you have a Jimmy John's sandwich shop near you, they have two great sandwiches...the veggie and the veggie club. You can also get them wrapped in lettuce leaves instead of bread for lower calorie and carb values...the regular veggie sandwich with lettuce instead of bread and no mayo or guacamole is only 190 calories, not to mention really big and totally satisfying.
Enjoy!
4Yum! I just dont like subway bread, even if it is 'wheat'.
5mmm i'm definitely gonna try this
