Blueberry Frozen Yogurt
This recipe I created because I love greek yogurt, I love blueberries and I love cold things when its hot. Its really not rocket science.
Now, if you need me I'll be at the gym torturing myself in Step Class.
Blueberry Frozen Yogurt
2 cups 0% Greek Yogurt
1 cup frozen blueberries thawed (if in season use fresh)
1/4 cup sugar or Honey
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Blend the blueberries, honey/sugar and lemon juice in a blender/food processor then in a bowl mix the puree and the yogurt together and pour into your ice cream maker.
Enjoy after a hard workout or as a snack...Look forward to looser clothes.

Post a CommentWOW! This looks amazing! I just made mango mint sorbet and was discussing with my husband how I should try to make a froyo recipe and I think I just found it!!!
That does look good. I am loving blueberries these days.
Thanks! I've been into sorbets lately too! I recently made a Pineapple Basil Sorbet and a Cantaloupe Cilantro Sorbet and they were both yummy. I'll post both of them soon.
On the froyo front I also added melted bittersweet chocolate to greek yogurt to make a chocolate frozen yogurt treat and that was equally yummy.
I don't have an ice cream maker..is there an alternative?
I've been using mark bittman's "sorbet" recipe in my food processor/blender and it works lovely!

basically, freeze the berries then blend w/some yogurt (I've used 0% greek and it works great!). It does get a bit hard in the freezer, but if you let it sit out for a sec it'll softened up again.
Same question as Julie...I don't have an ice cream maker =( I do have a friend that made mango sorbet by putting it in the freezer and taking it out to stir every so often. She said it turned out pretty good.
yum :]
I usually just stick yogurts in the freezer for a while to get them kind of firm and partially frozen. It's pretty tasty, actually.
I made this for my guests this morning along with belgian waffles. Delicious! Big hit.
