This piece is full of misinformation and very little sourcing and citations for its claims. Some of the claimed "detoxifying" effects have not been proven and are based on folk wisdom, not
nutritional research. The doctor's credentials are not identified, either.
I Love cabbage, watercress and the other eight mentioned. I have a daily regimen that I swear by with all my Sweet Passion and for my Old School age, it works for me!
Fruit, green tea, whole grains, and garlic. Lately I've been on a huge cabbage kick as well. @Anonymous; to find out more about the doctor, all you have to do is click on his name, or feel free
to google it. Almost every one of these claims provides a link to another article where you can find more information. For example, the artichoke claim was published in European Food Research
and Technology, a scholarly peer-reviewed journal. Now where is the support for your claim that this is "folk wisdom"?
I eat all these except for watercress and beets - but I'm not opposed to them! I drink lemon water occasionally, but not regularly. I'll have to pick up a lemon or two to keep on hand.

Most of them. Some I don't because I'm not a huge fan, but green tea I especially don't. I just can't make the stuff palatable!

I eat lots of green leafy veggies during a meal, fruit (2 times a day), and water (but without the lemon. I never liked lemon, sorry).
Almost all of them! I wished I could grow my own watercress...
Cilantro has to be on this list because it's known to protect against mercury poisoning! Bring on the ceviche!
